Since 1963, Oregon Freeze Dry (OFD) has set the standard for freeze-drying/lyophilization. As a pioneer in freeze-drying applications, they’ve provided solutions for the Department of Defense and NASA, as well as dozens of other pharmaceutical, specialty chemical, biotech companies and favorite foods such as Mountain House.
For this 15,000-square-foot expansion at their Albany, Oregon location, we utilized design-build approach to deliver a cost-effective structural steel exoskeleton with an insulated metal panel envelope (IMP), and cast-in-place mezzanine. This newly renovated facility included cold storage, high-speed doors and increased loading dock capacity.
