Sno-Ise TECH Construction Trades students visited the Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) jobsite in Snohomish to experience and learn about this unique construction project aligning with our “Become More” campaign of sharing the construction industry and helping with their career decision.
TRICO and PAWS have partnered on this project for last three years. The tour was conducted by PAWS Andi Anderson, Director of Philanthropy & Events and TRICO’s Project Manager, Mark Kim. Read more about the project here.
Students were greeted with a video about black bear cubs and how PAWS rehabilitated them at their current Lynnwood facility. They then toured the new wildlife hospital and outbuilding structures including large raptor building, small-medium carnivore enclosure, large carnivore enclosure, and future site of aquatic species/wildlife care addition. The students asked great questions not only about PAWS and their mission but also about the various construction methods and materials used.
